Our Services
Three clearly defined services — each shaped by your circumstances
Whether you are at the beginning of a difficult family situation or managing a long-term arrangement, there is an engagement model suited to where you are.
Return HomeOur Methodology
How we approach each engagement
Every engagement begins with listening. Before recommending any course of action, we spend time understanding the specific circumstances — the people involved, the nature of the dispute or question, and what a good outcome would genuinely look like for the client. Family matters vary considerably, and a standard response rarely serves the situation well.
Our approach places the client's pace and readiness at the centre of the process. We do not create artificial timelines or recommend action before a client has had adequate time to reflect. This is particularly important in situations involving children, where decisions made under pressure can cause lasting difficulty.
We also hold a realistic view of what law can and cannot deliver. We are honest when a negotiated outcome is preferable to a litigated one, and when a client's interests are best served by settlement rather than pursuit of a technical legal position. This honest assessment is part of every engagement, from the first conversation onward.
Listen first
We understand the full picture before advising on any legal path.
Map options clearly
We present the range of available paths with honest assessment of each.
Pace set by you
Decisions are made when the client is ready — not on our schedule.
Written clarity
All sessions result in written documentation of options and next steps.
Service One
Confidential Family Conversation
RM 265
A private and considered first session for clients addressing personal family-law matters. The conversation may cover divorce or separation under either civil or Syariah jurisdiction, custody and access considerations for any children involved, maintenance arrangements, division of matrimonial property and family business interests, or the framing of pre-marital or post-marital agreements. The session takes place in a private room with full discretion and is followed by a written note of options for the client's own reflection.
Process
- 1Appointment arranged by phone or email
- 2Session conducted in private room at our Ipoh chambers
- 3Written note of options provided within a short period after
- 4Client considers options and contacts us if they wish to proceed
Service Two
Family Settlement and Mediation Counsel
RM 715
Considered legal support for clients who wish to address family matters through negotiated settlement or mediated discussion where this is suitable. The engagement includes preparation for mediation, drafting of proposed terms, support and representation through mediated sessions, and the formalisation of any agreement reached. Where mediation proves unworkable, the team transitions thoughtfully to formal proceedings while keeping the client's interests carefully held. Throughout, the pace remains measured.
Process
- 1Initial assessment of suitability for mediation
- 2Preparation of client position and proposed terms
- 3Representation through mediation sessions
- 4Drafting and formalisation of final agreement if reached
Service Three
Family Stewardship Counsel Retainer
RM 1,405
A long-term advisory arrangement for clients with continuing or complex family circumstances, including blended-family considerations, international family interests, integrated family business and personal planning, evolving custody and maintenance arrangements, or family estate considerations over time. The retainer provides scheduled reviews, available consultation through the year, drafting of any required documents, coordination with mediators and other family advisers, and standing representation when needed. Designed for steady continuity of counsel.
Who This Suits
- Clients with blended family arrangements requiring ongoing management
- Families with international or cross-jurisdiction elements
